Lilly

Lilly in OK

Great Pyrenees: An adoptable dog in
Stillwater, OK

Lilly has spent all of her life being a loyal
and trustworthy family member; guardian of livestock and best friend to her
owner. As Lilly got older she was retired as a liverstock guardian dog and came
indoors to live out her senior seniors with her family. Unfortunatly Lilly's
owner who is also a senior became very ill and unable to care for herself or
her precious Lilly and called on GPRO to help.

Lilly has settled in well at her foster home in Stillwater. She gets along well with cats,
dogs and all people. She spends her time relaxing and enjoying the nice
weather. She loves to be given affection and is a sweet sweet old gal. She has
given ten years of loyality and unconditional love and we would like nothing
more then to find this gentle soul a family to call her own again, that will
love and care for her and give her the life she deserves.

Lilly is about ten years old, but for her age she is in pretty darn good shape
so don't let that fool you. She has had a full blood and urine analysis, a
heart echo and a dental while in our care. Her tests come back all within
normal ranges for organ functions, we did pull a few bad teeth; and we did find
that she is heart worm positive. Luckily the echo showed no damage or function
concerns to her heart and looks to be in early stage/light heart worm
infestation and she has completed treatment. She does have a few age related
issues like being slow to get up and down and does sometimes have accidents in
the house, but she is still has lots of love to give and appreciates her people
in a way that young dogs don't yet understand.

If you have a place in your heart and home for this senior girl, to offer her a
family again that she can spend her last years feeling all the love that she so
rightfully deserves, please contact using the adopting link below.

Pyrs in OK are available for adoption to surrounding states but do not have
transport options to the northeast at this time.

About Us: National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) is not a
shelter. We are a not-for-profit, tax-exempt coalition of Pyr rescuers and
rescue groups. We save Pyrs and Pyr mixes across the country and place them in
approved foster homes so we know how they will interact with your
family. Please consider adopting or fostering.
Every dog who is
fostered or adopted makes room for another Pyr coming out of a kill shelter.
Prior
to adoption, NGPR dogs are fostered for a minimum of two weeks (usually more),
spayed or neutered and fully vetted. Dogs coming from out of area are certified
with a USDA health certificate before going to their new homes. Our rescuers
adhere to the highest placement standards and will
take back
any dog
