Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever Mix: An adoptable dog in Richmond, KY
While perfect in most ways, Barney was born with a small genetic fault where normal hair follicles developed in an abnormal place. Specifically, Barney had hairs bunched up and growing out of the corner of his innner eyelid on one eye, and has a few hairs growing out of his other actual eyeball. This condition is called having a dermoid. The hairs on the inner eyelid have been surgically removed as there were many and were uncomfortable for Barney. They will not come back. He still has a few little hairs growing out of his other eye and they do not bother him at all, so we have left well enough alone as there are so few. This condition is nothing more than a little genetic boo-boo that is nothing serious or dangerous to his health.
Barney is ready for a home! He is neutered, house trained, and up to date on all shots. He is seeking an indoor home where he can snuggle, keep your feet warm, and just be part of the family. He also needs a fenced in yard so he can get plenty of exercise as a large dog. He would make an absolutely great family pet and has much love to give in return.
